Handwriting Assessments
A specialist handwriting assessment is suitable for students who have difficulty with handwriting and / or difficulty with getting their thoughts down on paper but have good skills in other areas of literacy such as reading.
The assessor uses formal handwriting tests and visual motor integration tests to investigate the factors impacting upon an individual's writing difficulties. A formal report is then produced by the specialist and a referral to an Occupational Therapist may be suggested if appropriate. This test may also be used to determine eligibility and support applications for Examination Access Arrangements.
