Speech & Language Assessments
Consentia Education works closely with and refers students to Speech and Language Therapists who specialise in working with students experiencing speech and language difficulties that are affecting their educational attainment.
The comprehensive Speech and Language Assessment includes tests on receptive (language understood but not necessarily used) and expressive spoken language. Other testing may include speech and phonological processing, pragmatic and language competence, vocabulary, word finding, social interaction and communication.
The Speech and Language Therapist will write a full assessment report detailing a profile of strengths and weaknesses and will suggest practical recommendations for help at school and at home. Further therapy may be suggested from this report.
